Bruce Botnik was born in the cold winter of 1985 in Nizhny Novgorod, Russia, where his father at the time was doing research on Polyvinylchloride. From his mother, the famous hippie model Sky Larissa Evans, he inherited the love for music and single malt bourbon. At the age of only ten, Bruce played the cello, bass drum and the piano, in which he excelled. In doing so, the Queen of England invited him to play Dvorak on her birthday party at Buckingham Palace. When asked for a comment, Bruce stated: "She's a MILF." On October 6th 1998 at about 4 a.m. after witnessing a Dj Derek gig, the thirteen year old Bruce Botnik started dj-ing on the beer-drenched pick-up in a nearby striptease bar his oncle owned. Growing older and more skilled, he exchanged his public of strippers and transvestites for steaming parties all over Europe. Mixing electro with EBM, rave, dubstep and the Doors, Bruce enjoys setting a dancefloor on fire as much as making analogue pictures of old people and genitals. He needs no more than a bottle and a decent blowjob to stirr up a crowd with pounding sweaty music. Let's make our biography together. |

Betonkust
(Rotterdam (NL)) - dj
Betonkust is one of the most exciting newbies in the latest wave of dystopian dance producers hailing from the west-coast. On closer approach he’s situated in a righteously forgotten area of the lower lands and his sound is founded on a wide variety of hyper energetic music such as new beat, rave and Detroit vibed electro & by artists such as Unit Moebius, Electronome and I-F. The early 90’s are the mainbase all over! While melancholia and dreamy drills always remain a keystone throughout his performances, there are catchy outbursts which provide a welcome element of surprise. Inspired by post-modern society and its striking disfigurements, these are the days when someone such as Betonkust thrives. Where recent attention went towards his collab EP ‘Hotel Breukelen’ with the Los Angeles based Palmbomen on the ever-excellent Pinkman, they previously issued a trouble up on the indie imprint 1080P. At least as exciting are several solo remixes & projects lined up for the near future! |

The Stress
(Amsterdam (NL)) - dj
The Stress is the DJ alter ego of Diederick van den Ende. Starting out in 2011, The Stress hosted Sunday afternoon chillwave / electro-pop parties in his hometown Utrecht and started DJ’ing. While the nu-disco wave spread across Europe, The Stress played his first gigs in Amsterdam. It was here that he developed his taste for progressive disco, mixed with queer-, vogue-, house-, internet-, new beat-, and electro-influences. The Stress is resident DJ for the Amsterdam based queer family UltraSexi and a regular for our parties. Because of The Stress’ involvement in activism and academia, The Stress solely plays for queer, pride and intersecting causes worth supporting. |

Aki
(Brussels (BE)) - dj
Aki's passion for electronic music started by listening to 80's pop records from his older fellows. From 1995 to 1998, he played drums on various post-rock bands. Slowly though, he moved towards electronic music, which pushed him to buy two turntables. His dj'ing then rapdily evolved through waves of various electronic music styles such as dub, trip-hop and electronica but neatly tied together with some solid minimal-techno and house... In 2005 Aki joins Toys For Boys Records meanwhile holding a residency at parties in Brussels. In 2006 he decides to launch his own imprint alongside Franco Cangelli, they call the label Aesthetik Records. Since 2009 they started two new labels (Mowar/Nowar) with still that contemporary look on what is techno & house. |

AAGUILAA
(Lisbon (PT)) - dj
Like many kids in late 80s/early 90s Belgium, AAGUILAA was captivated by the swirling innovation of EBM and New Beat. But only after experiencing the full-body feeling of italo disco and hi-NRG played over a proper soundsystem he matured his lifetime love for neon lights and for the darker, synthesized side of dance music. He is resident and programmer at Los Niños but also known as the founder of FFORMATT, our temporary cultural space in the heart of Brussels, now closed. You can listen to his vinyl & quality music selection on radio stations as Kiosk Radio, Red Light Radio, The Lot, We Are Various, East Side etc. Playing in bars and basements, from private parties to events in metro stations, including Lisbon, Berlin, Paris, Milan, Vienna etc. |

Hashman Deejay
(Vancouver Island (CA)) - dj
Hashman Deejay – a long time staple of Canadian dance label Mood Hut, the monster re-mixer and deep-selector, the many names and faces… Born on idyllic Vancouver Island, British Columbia and now living along the mainland West Coast, Hashman has been producing and deejaying in North America under his own name and as part of different musical outfits for some time now, not to mention being a constant contributor to the regional music community, encouraging, engineering sessions, and remixing artists from the area – said to be affiliated with experimental groups like Aquarian Foundation and Kinetic Electronix – Recent excursions include chart-topper “On the Inner Plains” as part of the group Ttam Renat, collaborations with London-based Going Good, new releases on Future Times, and the usual steady stream of appearances on Mood Hut – his productions vary in aesthetic but all inhabit the same dream-world with an obtuse yet ecstatic approach to late-night dancefloor music, emphasizing a richly dynamic rhythmic sensibility. DJing style ranges notoriously far and wide – “A young producer to watch for sure.” |

ALX9696
(Stockholm (SE)) - dj
ALX9696 brings both chaos and peace to the dancefloor. A tree with Gambian roots sunk into Swedish soil, he started flowering for real when he began clubbing aged seventeen. Initiated into nightlife by Staycore founders Ghazal and Dinamarca, who gave him his first DJ sets in the collective’s hometown of Stockholm, he's since turned clubbing into a therapeutic tool not only for himself but for bodies and souls worldwide. His DJ sets move their way to a place beyond genre and gender, destroying the gods you thought you worshipped and letting you swallow light. ALX9696's selections allow for unadulterated intimacy, with esoteric blends lovingly delivered to dancers. He creates moments of sweaty, orgasmic sainthood with sounds that really touch you, playing music to be touched to. Nice article: http://www.thefader.com/2016/07/05/staycore-erelitha-compilation |

Dinamarca
(Stockholm (SE)) - dj
As co-head of Staycore, Dinamarca has built up a reputation for transgressing traditional genre barriers and bringing the sounds of Latin America to Scandinavia and beyond. Born in Chile, but raised in Stockholm, Dinamarca embodies the sprawling sounds of Staycore to a T, working tirelessly with co-head Ghazal to bring exciting young artists into the fold and delivering the outfit’s debut release, the No Hay Break EP, in December 2014. Described by Resident Advisor as “one of the scene’s most inventive producers,” he has followed No Hay Break with two wholly anthemic follow-ups, the full throttle Holy in December 2016 and Himnos in April 2017, both of which have gained ubiquity in club scenes as far flung as Los Angeles and Tokyo. Anyone who has seen the utter madness that ensures when “Holy” drops will testify to the all-consuming power of Dinamarca’s hybrid concoctions.
