23:00:00 - 00:00:00(Antwerpen (BE)) - dj |
Contrary to his name, this guy likes the darkness where he finds his music. Roots: Growing up on disco and soul from his mother’s side, new wave and EBM from his cool uncle & aunt and his own love for early house, techno, acid and hardcore (oh. he was a sworn gabber once) Secretly loves: forgotten pop tunes and anything with an oriental flow to it. Plays: from disco to house, techno to acid, EBM to electro, pop to poop. But it will make you dance. Dislikes: requests – but will look it up on youtube and check it later - Goals: hopes to be a “spiritual and auditive guidance” … or to reincarnate as a jukebox. |

Cakes da Killa
(New York (USA)) - concert
Recording artist and raunchy rapper Cakes Da Killa is a 25-year-old with three critically-acclaimed mixtapes to his name. His latest release Hunger Pangs solidified him as “one of hip hop’s most exciting voices,” according to The Needle Drop and a ferocious rapper who “sounds like he will absolutely slap your face off” in the words of Stereogum. No small feat, as this intensity has also garnered him praise from the likes of Vice, MTV and The Fader. Cakes Da Killa’s unique sound is a mix of various musical influences, cinema and underground experiences. Praised for both his lyrical content and flow, which has earned him comparisons to Lil Kim and Nicki Minaj. Cakes has as an international following that's brought him to places around Europe, Canada and Australia, all the while shattering the preconceived notions of what it takes to be a respected lyricist. (Rightly) bragging that he can, “spit that shit to make a homophobe a hypocrite,” he continues to prove the statement true with each new release he drops. AAGUILAA
(Lisbon (PT)) - dj
Like many kids in late 80s/early 90s Belgium, AAGUILAA was captivated by the swirling innovation of EBM and New Beat. But only after experiencing the full-body feeling of italo disco and hi-NRG played over a proper soundsystem he matured his lifetime love for neon lights and for the darker, synthesized side of dance music. He is resident and programmer at Los Niños but also known as the founder of FFORMATT, our temporary cultural space in the heart of Brussels, now closed. You can listen to his vinyl & quality music selection on radio stations as Kiosk Radio, Red Light Radio, The Lot, We Are Various, East Side etc. Playing in bars and basements, from private parties to events in metro stations, including Lisbon, Berlin, Paris, Milan, Vienna etc. |

Bruce Botnik
(Brussels (BE)) - dj
Bruce Botnik was born in the cold winter of 1985 in Nizhny Novgorod, Russia, where his father at the time was doing research on Polyvinylchloride. From his mother, the famous hippie model Sky Larissa Evans, he inherited the love for music and single malt bourbon. At the age of only ten, Bruce played the cello, bass drum and the piano, in which he excelled. In doing so, the Queen of England invited him to play Dvorak on her birthday party at Buckingham Palace. When asked for a comment, Bruce stated: "She's a MILF." On October 6th 1998 at about 4 a.m. after witnessing a Dj Derek gig, the thirteen year old Bruce Botnik started dj-ing on the beer-drenched pick-up in a nearby striptease bar his oncle owned. Growing older and more skilled, he exchanged his public of strippers and transvestites for steaming parties all over Europe. Mixing electro with EBM, rave, dubstep and the Doors, Bruce enjoys setting a dancefloor on fire as much as making analogue pictures of old people and genitals. He needs no more than a bottle and a decent blowjob to stirr up a crowd with pounding sweaty music. Let's make our biography together. |
