23:00:00 - 01:30:00(Amsterdam (NL)) - dj |
The Stress is the DJ alter ego of Diederick van den Ende. Starting out in 2011, The Stress hosted Sunday afternoon chillwave / electro-pop parties in his hometown Utrecht and started DJ’ing. While the nu-disco wave spread across Europe, The Stress played his first gigs in Amsterdam. It was here that he developed his taste for progressive disco, mixed with queer-, vogue-, house-, internet-, new beat-, and electro-influences. The Stress is resident DJ for the Amsterdam based queer family UltraSexi and a regular for our parties. Because of The Stress’ involvement in activism and academia, The Stress solely plays for queer, pride and intersecting causes worth supporting. |

Cormac
(Berlin (DE)) - dj
No longer one of dance musics' best-kept secrets Cormac's reputation as a revered selector has rapidly spread. The Queer Northern Ireland-born DJ is now soundtracking dancefloors the world over with his unique take on HI-NRG Italo- House. Cormac was a listener and dancefloor staple at zeitgeist defining London institutions such as Trade, Nag Nag Nag, and Bugged Out. In Berlin and Europe, he's best known for his legendary closing performances at Panorama Bar and Snax. Sometimes running up to eleven hours in length, and with free reign to play across the board sonically, Cormac has fast become a staple on the line-ups for the club. Jacob Meehan
(Berlin (DE)) - dj
Jacob Meehan has emerged as a torchbearer of the gay groove, deeply rooted in the storied heritage of Chicago. Having come of age on the dance floors of Derrick Carter, Frankie Knuckles, and Michael Serafini, Jacob internalised the lessons of his forefathers. At his core is a musicality that reverberates with the resilience and vitality of the human spirit. His DJ style is an eclectic blend of machine and soul that transcends and captivates. With playful experimentation and innovative flair, Jacob seamlessly weaves together elements of house, techno, disco, and ambient (as captured in this RA Mix Of The Day ). From quirky melodies to percussive rhythms, his sets exude warmth, depth and a sense of euphoria, inviting everyone to join in the celebration of life and love through the power of rhythm. Jacob crystallized his deep relationship with music during his 15 year tenure in Chicago - working at legendary institutions like Gramaphone Records and WLUW 88.7 FM, whilst holding a residency at Smart Bar, Meehan immersed himself in the rich tapestry of American musical history. In the early 2010s he became a pivotal booster in America's burgeoning queer scene, breathing new life into dusty pre-AIDS gay venues by fostering a newly embraced, sexually free environment. Now based in Berlin, he's one of the driving forces behind two major events much beloved by the queer community: Buttons and WHOLE Festival . Amidst the pandemic, Jacob delved into music production, debuting Hier on NYC’s Major Records. His track Old Reliable was featured on a Nervous Records compilation curated by The Carry Nation. Anticipate more from Jacob in 2024, including an EP on Twirl honouring his late friend and b2b partner, Aérea Negrot, and a collaboration with NYC’s Physical Therapy. |

AAGUILAA
(Lisbon (PT)) - dj
Like many kids in late 80s/early 90s Belgium, AAGUILAA was captivated by the swirling innovation of EBM and New Beat. But only after experiencing the full-body feeling of italo disco and hi-NRG played over a proper soundsystem he matured his lifetime love for neon lights and for the darker, synthesized side of dance music. He is resident and programmer at Los Niños but also known as the founder of FFORMATT, our temporary cultural space in the heart of Brussels, now closed. You can listen to his vinyl & quality music selection on radio stations as Kiosk Radio, Red Light Radio, The Lot, We Are Various, East Side etc. Playing in bars and basements, from private parties to events in metro stations, including Lisbon, Berlin, Paris, Milan, Vienna etc. |
