The Stress is the DJ alter ego of Diederick van den Ende. Starting out in 2011, The Stress hosted Sunday afternoon chillwave / electro-pop parties in his hometown Utrecht and started DJ’ing. While the nu-disco wave spread across Europe, The Stress played his first gigs in Amsterdam. It was here that he developed his taste for progressive disco, mixed with queer-, vogue-, house-, internet-, new beat-, and electro-influences.

The Stress is resident DJ for the Amsterdam based queer family UltraSexi and a regular for our parties.

Because of The Stress’ involvement in activism and academia, The Stress solely plays for queer, pride and intersecting causes worth supporting.

Since debuting on Soulwax’s imprint, DEEWEE in 2016, the Belgian duo have steadily released a series of acclaimed EPs across the last five years. Now with their fourth instalment for the label, ‘Martino’ EP, Asa Moto serve up some of their most refined work to date, expertly disregarding genre boundaries and conventions for an eclectic blend of off-kilter yet highly considered sounds grounded by sublime pop sensibilities.

Now, on 'Martino EP', Asa Moto’s analogue mastery is on full display, pushing the production boundaries of their expansive collection of equipment. First track ‘Connexion à Liege’, a song about a night drive from Ghent to Liège, combines trippy delays and lush vocoder work across pastel synths for a laidback start to the EP. Lead single ‘Cacao’ sees the duo craft a chugging instrumental peppered with stereo FX and vocals as the track evolves into a floaty synth driven affair. ‘Missing Teeth’ investigates the mystery of the duo’s local bakery owner’s teeth, flipping their confusion into an oddball dance friendly jam, while ‘Veleda’ brings delicate synth work, modulating hardware, and hard hitting drums. Closing track ‘My Body’ forgoes percussion of any kind, with the duo twisting their own vocals into a tongue and cheek acapella, described in their own words as ‘our contribution (and solution) to the war against the war on drugs’.

Asa Moto are regular fixtures on the European touring circuit including support for Soulwax’s ‘From DEEWEE’ album tour. As astute selectors they operate a bi-monthly radio show in Brussels on Kiosk Radio, ranging from obscure jazz records to contemporary electronic cuts. Asa Moto have re-adapted their unmistakable strain of body music into a live show which premiered on the main stage of the Lokerse Feesten 2019 and at the 40th anniversary of Ancienne Belgique, Brussels. In 2020 they co-produced and mixed the Grammy nominated Turkish band Altin Gun's follow up album 'Yol' and were asked to produce their new LP, titled ‘Âlem’.

Like many kids in late 80s/early 90s Belgium, AAGUILAA was captivated by the swirling innovation of EBM and New Beat. But only after experiencing the full-body feeling of italo disco and hi-NRG played over a proper soundsystem he matured his lifetime love for neon lights and for the darker, synthesized side of dance music.

He is resident and programmer at Los Niños but also known as the founder of FFORMATT, our temporary cultural space in the heart of Brussels, now closed.

Lecken & Wax Treatment affiliate KILLA / KILLA Du Jour is a French vinyl-only DJ whose sets are as eclectic as the crates she digs in.

With a sensitive ear for unconventional crossovers, she mixes her way from groovy techno, rave, breaks & jungle to high-brow electronica and the B-side dance oddities.

KILLA's ability to flesh out a sound uniquely her own while delivering both energizing & deep sets has earned her a quick-fire reputation. She's known or the uncompromising musical integrity of her selections - frequently served with a dash of diva “je ne sais quoi”. KILLA’s sets are as diverse as the crates she digs in and the venues & festivals she plays at (Tresor, RSO, about blank://, Oxi, IfZ, Kampnagel, Grand Théatre de Genève, KHIDI, Fusion, Whole Festival, CTM etc. )

She is a founding member and resident DJ of the queer-feminist Lecken collective, has coorganised local and international events with the Killasan sound system since 2014 and recently joined Gravity Network's international roster. She also host a bimonthly radio show on Refuge Worldwide.
