Fort Romeau
() - dj
Michael Greene aka Fort Romeau has been busy since his 2012 debut “Kingdoms”, releasing EPs on labels such as Running Back and Live At Robert Johnson as well as having tracks featured on compilations from Rush Hour, Cocoon, Correspondent and Mule Musiq. His sophomoric 2015 LP “Insides” released by Ghostly International was inspired by an eclectic mixture of house, kraut, ambient and techno, and showed a further development of his unique take on dance floor music. His love for music and record collecting goes back much further. As a child he would join his father, an avid vinyl collector on journeys to record fairs and jumble sales, digging every weekend from the age of 8 years old. And so it was quite natural that the collector became the DJ and the listener became the musician. The past few years have seen him play all over the world. 2015 saw him set up his own label “Cin Cin” releasing split EPs from established names and newcomers alike, with a diverse musical policy that reflects the DJ/producer’s open minded and inquisitive approach. Greene has also released an EP with Massimiliano Pagliara under the name The Violet Hour, on Cocktail D'Amore. |

AAGUILAA
(Lisbon (PT)) - dj
Like many kids in late 80s/early 90s Belgium, AAGUILAA was captivated by the swirling innovation of EBM and New Beat. But only after experiencing the full-body feeling of italo disco and hi-NRG played over a proper soundsystem he matured his lifetime love for neon lights and for the darker, synthesized side of dance music. He is resident and programmer at Los Niños but also known as the founder of FFORMATT, our temporary cultural space in the heart of Brussels, now closed. You can listen to his vinyl & quality music selection on radio stations as Kiosk Radio, Red Light Radio, The Lot, We Are Various, East Side etc. Playing in bars and basements, from private parties to events in metro stations, including Lisbon, Berlin, Paris, Milan, Vienna etc. |

Innershades
(Aalst (BE)) - dj
Industrial cities, especially those in decay, tend to play host to a melting pot of electronic musicians. As so in the city of Aalst (Belgium), a former textile giant, where Thomas Blanckaert kickstarted a music escapade as Innershades a few years ago. In little time his tracks were picked up by prominent record labels such as Crème Organization, Pinkman and Hot Haus Records, many of which are now of cult notoriety. Strongly influenced by the pioneers of Chicago & Detroit, Thomas created a sound of his own with dynamic productions ranging from raw house and techno workouts to melodic electro gems. A similar eclecticism can be found in his DJ sets which brim with enigmatic selections that will prick the ears of any avid identifier. Needless to say, with productions celebrated by tastemakers worldwide, Innershades is one of Belgium's most exciting new exports. |

Betonkust
(Rotterdam (NL)) - dj
Betonkust is one of the most exciting newbies in the latest wave of dystopian dance producers hailing from the west-coast. On closer approach he’s situated in a righteously forgotten area of the lower lands and his sound is founded on a wide variety of hyper energetic music such as new beat, rave and Detroit vibed electro & by artists such as Unit Moebius, Electronome and I-F. The early 90’s are the mainbase all over! While melancholia and dreamy drills always remain a keystone throughout his performances, there are catchy outbursts which provide a welcome element of surprise. Inspired by post-modern society and its striking disfigurements, these are the days when someone such as Betonkust thrives. Where recent attention went towards his collab EP ‘Hotel Breukelen’ with the Los Angeles based Palmbomen on the ever-excellent Pinkman, they previously issued a trouble up on the indie imprint 1080P. At least as exciting are several solo remixes & projects lined up for the near future! |
