Aki's passion for electronic music started by listening to 80's pop records from his older fellows. From 1995 to 1998, he played drums on various post-rock bands. Slowly though, he moved towards electronic music, which pushed him to buy two turntables. His dj'ing then rapdily evolved through waves of various electronic music styles such as dub, trip-hop and electronica but neatly tied together with some solid minimal-techno and house...

In 2005 Aki joins Toys For Boys Records meanwhile holding a residency at parties in Brussels.

In 2006 he decides to launch his own imprint alongside Franco Cangelli, they call the label Aesthetik Records. Since 2009 they started two new labels (Mowar/Nowar) with still that contemporary look on what is techno & house.

Like many kids in late 80s/early 90s Belgium, AAGUILAA was captivated by the swirling innovation of EBM and New Beat. But only after experiencing the full-body feeling of italo disco and hi-NRG played over a proper soundsystem he matured his lifetime love for neon lights and for the darker, synthesized side of dance music.

He is resident and programmer at Los Niños but also known as the founder of FFORMATT, our temporary cultural space in the heart of Brussels, now closed.

Playing in bars and basements, from private parties to events in metro stations, including Lisbon, Berlin, Paris, Milan, Vienna etc.

So good he is known only by his first name, Serge is the man responsible for large swathes of the best electronic music out there thanks to his Clone empire. A store in Rotterdam as well as a whole network of labels, he A&Rs everything from classic house to banging basement tracks to seminal electro from the most respected names in the scene. His own productions maybe few and far between but never fail to impress, whilst his greatest skill might be as a DJ: he is someone who unearth tunes you've never heard before from across the ages, threads them together almost magically and has done so at every major festival and club around the world worth its salt.
