Influenced by local radio shows and well-organized series of underground parties in Belgium, Gaetan, then 17, quickly became an Electro enthusiast. In 2002 he started deejaying and shortly thereafter began composing his own sounds under the moniker Datawave from 2010. The now 36-year-old producer mainly uses Ableton, Reason and a Bass Station 2 to produce his music. Gaetan has since gained support from DJ’s like Dave Clarke, DVSNME, Umek, Jensen Interceptor, Assembler Code, CYRK And has released on Mechatronica, Fundamental Records, Ac Records, Natural Sciences, Vortex Traks and more.

From teaching himself how to dj on cdj100’s at eleven years old to making every good or bad soundsystem sound amazing in bars and clubs when he was seventeen, Max Adams already was a key personality in the Antwerp nightlife before he was old enough to drive. As creative and intelligent Max is with music and sound, so modest and honest the man is as well. Although, projects like Lose It In The City festival, Space Force Operations, Vice City, Where House and many more wouldn’t have been possible without this man. Flapy takes you from A(mbient) to Z(ilion), through rave, techno, breakbeat, jungle and hardcore straight into space behind the decks.

Like many kids in late 80s/early 90s Belgium, AAGUILAA was captivated by the swirling innovation of EBM and New Beat. But only after experiencing the full-body feeling of italo disco and hi-NRG played over a proper soundsystem he matured his lifetime love for neon lights and for the darker, synthesized side of dance music.

He is resident and programmer at Los Niños but also known as the founder of FFORMATT, our temporary cultural space in the heart of Brussels, now closed.
