Andrew Armstrong launched his Daddy Squad project after his band Monarchy collapsed during Covid. He launched the new project with long time collaborator and burlesque superstar Dita Von Teese, and went on to collaborate with Ru Paul’s Violet Chachki, italo disco bears Hard Ton, house pioneer S’Express, Brazilian legend Renato Cohen, and synth pop icons Zoot Woman. Remixes came from Lauer, Chinaski, Hifi Sean, Boys’ Shorts, Reznik, Vhyce and many others.

He has DJed under this name in Paris, London, Berlin, Madrid, and Barcelona as well as at festivals around Europe. He recently launched his own queer night in Madrid called Yes, Bitch! focussing on dirty house, italo disco and indie dance to a diverse queer audience. It’s brought together the Madrid underground like no other, where the focus until now has been on techno.

Previously with Monarchy he enjoyed over 10 years of touring the world, including Coachella, BBK, Low, Arenal Sound, Lovebox, tours of the US, South Korea, and all across Europe. He has written and collaborated extensively with other artists including Charli XCX, SIA, Mighty Mouse, Blondie, and remixed people such as Kylie, Kelis, Lady Gaga, Ellie Goulding, Jamiroquai and many more.
